ExpenseDuck makes the expense tracking part of your business fast and painless. It's built by a freelancer who has been filing his own Schedule C for more than 35 years.

From one shutdown to the next

When Intuit shut down ItsDeductible, thousands of people lost the tool they'd used for years to track charitable donations. We built DeductibleDuck to give them a home. More than 20,000 people moved in.

Now Intuit is winding down QuickBooks Self-Employed. The QBSE users we talked to kept saying the same things. "It lost my mileage and I found out at tax time." "I never understood why it categorized things that way." And most of all: "nothing else tells me what to set aside for quarterly taxes."

So we're doing it again. ExpenseDuck keeps the four things QBSE did well: the business or personal swipe, automatic mileage, Schedule C categories, and the quarterly tax estimate. Then it fixes the four that burned people. Mileage that vanished with no warning. Categories nobody could explain. Books that were hard to get back out. And a tax estimate that ignored the rest of your household income.

Simple is hard to get right. When it's done well your life gets easier, and you stop noticing the software at all. The question we ask on every feature is what's the simplest thing that works for you and for us.

A human answers your email

Dave reads every support message and replies to it himself. If something's broken we dig until there's a fix. And if there isn't one, you'll hear that plainly instead of being handed a stalling answer. You won't be routed through a bot first.
