Our mission is to make the expense tracking part of running your business painless and fast. Built by a freelancer with more than 35 years of managing his own taxes and Schedule C expenses.
From one shutdown to the next
When Intuit shut down ItsDeductible, thousands of people lost the tool they'd used for years to track charitable donations. We built DeductibleDuck to give them a home. More than 20,000 people moved in.
Now Intuit is winding down QuickBooks Self-Employed. The QBSE users we talked to kept saying the same things. "It lost my mileage and I found out at tax time." "I never understood why it categorized things that way." And most of all: "nothing else tells me what to set aside for quarterly taxes."
So we're doing it again. ExpenseDuck keeps what QBSE did well: the swipe, the mileage, the tax estimate. And it fixes what burned people: silent data loss, mystery categories, and locked-up data.

Running a small business since he was 17 and writing software professionally since 23. Over 40 years of development and business experience. He built DeductibleDuck after Intuit shut down ItsDeductible, and is doing it again for QuickBooks Self-Employed users.

Primary duties include: emotional support, demanding pets, snoring at Dave's feet and reminding him when it's time to go outside. Also the reason Dave has a large line item of "Treats" on his Schedule C.
